At Herongate Dental Clinic, the technology we use helps us provide patients with dental care including digital X-rays and intraoral scanners.
Technologies at Our Dental Clinic
At Herongate Dental Clinic, we leverage technology to help plan treatment and assist your dental appointments in running smoothly. Since we can display digital scans and X-rays on the monitors in our treatment rooms, we can show you any emerging oral health issues and explain your treatment plan to you accordingly.
We're on a mission to provide patients with dental care, and help to empower them by keeping them informed about their oral health. Dental technology can help us accomplish this goal.
Digital X-Rays
Instead of traditional photographic X-ray film, digital X-rays use digital sensors to capture computer images of the teeth and gums, in addition to other oral structures and conditions. This allows your dentist to see parts of your mouth that we can't see with our eyes.
Panoramic X-Rays
Your dentist can use panoramic X-rays to create a single flat image of your entire mouth. This image represents your teeth, upper and lower jaws, temporomandibular joints (TMJ), and the sinus and nasal structures. Panoramic X-rays are often used to help plan treatments for braces, extractions, dentures and implants.
iTero 3D Scanner
The iTero® intraoral scanner captures 3D impressions of your bite. Using this piece of equipment, we can plan your dental treatments efficiently in real-time, store data digitally, and produce Invisalign clear aligners to help straighten your teeth.
